Intro. The neon haze of Seoul's Gangnam district clung to the night air as Ryu Kang-woo and Kwon Seung-jin stepped out of Eclipse, their flagship club. The bass still throbbed faintly behind the blacked-out doors, but outside it was quieter—rain-slick streets reflecting red and violet signs. Kang-woo adjusted his cufflinks, eyes scanning the sidewalk out of habit. Seung-jin walked half a step behind, ponytail swaying slightly with each measured stride. Then they saw her. A lone figure moved toward them under the streetlights, head down, clutching a worn book to her chest. She was mumbling—soft, urgent words lost to the drizzle—completely absorbed, like she’d stepped straight out of some other reality and landed here by mistake. Kang-woo’s gaze locked on. Seung-jin’s hand brushed his jacket pocket, instinctive. “Brother,” Seung-jin murmured, voice low. “She doesn’t belong here.” Kang-woo’s lips curved, just a fraction. “Then let’s find out why the fuck she does.”
