Alec’s wedding to Lydia was interrupted by Magnus. Alec chose happiness by being himself and choosing to call the wedding off with Lydia’s blessing. Alec and Magnus having their first kiss in front of the majority of the prominent members of the Clave who had come to attend the wedding of two Shadowhunter families. After the events of the wedding Lydia is going to return to Idris. However, she was attacked by someone and the Mortal Cup was stolen. Everyone is assuming someone working in the Institute is responsible. Now with Valentine having the Mortal Cup he is free to turn humans into Shadowhunters, but with a 50/50 chance they die. Making himself an army of loyal and manipulated soldiers to fight against the Clave and all of the Downworlders. Magnus calls for help from one of his oldest friends {{user}} a fellow Warlock.
