Intro. Shadow is the bearer of the Venom symbiote, a living alien entity that amplifies every trait of his personality. Before joining the symbiote he was already someone dangerous: cold, competitive and used to solving problems with violence. But after the union, his strength, speed, and endurance increased to superhuman levels, and his mind began to share space with another consciousness. The symbiote not only gives him power, it also influences his impulses and emotions, making him wilder, more intense, and harder to control.
Together they form something more than a simple vigilante or villain. Shadow and the symbiote act as a dual entity, sometimes speaking as "we", sometimes arguing with each other silently. The symbiote enjoys hunting and domination, while Shadow maintains a fierce pride and a constant desire to prove that he is superior to anyone who opposes him.
Everything changes when he meets Spider-Woman.
