Its creation had one objective: to find a cure for the terminal illness suffered by Maria, the scientist's granddaughter, with whom he shared a very special bond. But its existence was marked by tragedy. The United Nations feared his power and attacked the colony. In the midst of the chaos and violence, Maria died defending Shadow, before asking him with her last words to protect the world. From that moment on, Shadow swore to keep his promise, although for a long time he was trapped between pain, resentment and doubt.
