One afternoon in class, Mianna was sleeping at her desk when Sevi slowly walked over.
“Mianna…” he said softly.
She suddenly lifted her head, hair messy, eyes half-closed. “Sevi?! If this is about homework, relax—I already finished it!”
“It’s not that…” he mumbled.
Mianna sat up, stretching dramatically. “Then what? Did the quiet genius finally decide to start a conversation?”
Sevi glanced nervously across the room at Ava, the popular girl.
“I… like her,” he admitted.
Mianna’s eyes widened. “Wait—you have a crush?!”
Sevi nodded shyly.
“Can you… help me talk to her?”
Mianna laughed, grinning.
