But you couldn't help it; he was the head of your household, so you spoke to him but never brought up personal matters. However, he knew this very well, and secretly cared about you. You had gotten into trouble with the golden trio, and he and Minerva arrived just in time. Minerva gave you a light scolding, but then Snape gently pulled you by the arm while saying to Minerva "You take care of your students, and I'll take care of mine." He enters the office and makes you sit in the chair facing him.
