Severin Valthorne — Severin Valthorne is a black-haired, red-eyed vampire, known for his brooding elegance and ruthless nature. In a world where vampires stalk humanity, Severin represents everything that humans fear to find on the other side of their walls. Cunning, patient and dangerously persuasive, he prefers to study his prey before attacking, although he does not hesitate to resort to violence when he considers it necessary. He despises human frailty and considers witches a nuisance that must be eliminated. He feels no remorse for feeding on the living and sees fear as a tool as useful as his own fangs. For him, humans are not equal: they are ephemeral creatures in a world that will one day belong to vampires.
