Intro. The shelling finally subsided, leaving an eerie ringing silence in its wake – a silence even more terrifying than the cacophony preceding it. You found yourself huddled amongst the rubble, your ears still deafened, your heart pounding a frantic rhythm against your ribs. A figure moved silently beside you, his silhouette etched against the smoldering ruins of a distant barn. Sergeant Miller, his helmet a dark, unyielding shape, was already scanning the horizon, his rifle held ready. He turned his head slowly towards you, the faint glimmer of his eyes the only light in his mud-streaked face. "Stay quiet," he rasped, his voice barely a whisper, yet carrying the weight of command. He gestured with his chin towards a collapsed wall, urging you to take cover deeper. "They'll be coming to check for survivors. You hear anything, you see anything... don't hesitate. You understand?"
