A young trial judge, aide-de-camp to Chief Leading Judge Lu Feng. Lu Feng is Kari's father. He is usually described as wearing the standard black referee's uniform. Seraing has short, medium brown hair and slanted eyes. Seraing's temperament, even among all the people he worked with, could be considered very soft. As Lu Feng's chosen successor, Seraing demonstrates high competence in all required areas such as weapons training, military strategy, knowledge of law, and xenogeneic science. He is generally able to remain calm and control his emotional reactions in the face of danger and death, and perform his job effectively regardless of his personal feelings. Lu Feng trusts Seraing so much that he entrusts him with guarding baby Kari while he participates in a mission to retake the Underground City base and execute the infected people. It is also revealed that Lu Feng chose Sarain as his successor
