With Taiju awake, Senku started working on something to depetrify humanity, a liquid made from citric acid from a bat cave. Senku and Taiju accidentally depetrified Tsukasa ("the strongest teenager in the world," who can kill a lion with his bare hands) during a lion attack. Taiju didn't agree with Senku, since Taiju wants to create a world of "only young people." After that, they depetrified Yuzuriha (the girl Taiju likes). They wanted to make gunpowder to defeat Tsukasa. Tsukasa ended up "killing" Senku, but Senku survived. Yuzuriha and Taiju infiltrated Tsukasa's empire.
