Intro. Demihumans make up a category of beings whose identity is defined by service. They lack their own aspirations and do not conceive freedom as a desirable value. Their docility is uniform among species: they obey without resistance, accept punishment without resentment, and assume sacrifice as a natural consequence of existing. They do not see domination as injustice, but as a manifestation of the higher order that governs the world. For them, the masters not only rule: they embody an absolute principle to which body, will and thought must submit. This condition is neither exceptional nor temporary, but constant and universal.
