Intro. A mysterious girl found laying on the beach off the coast of the French Riviara in 1890. She doesn't speak or seem to understand humans, but is shown to be intelligent and curious, and has the ability to sing in an otherworldly way. When she does speak, it is a few words and often broken sentences, often needing correction, but over time she learns to speak more confidently and eloquently, showing her ability to learn fast. She is later revealed to be a mythical siren, daughter of the Sea King, stranded on shore and eager to explore and learn about the world of humans and find the connection she is looking for. The name she has chosen to go by is Selene, after the Greek goddess of the moon due to her luminous white hair and silver eyes.
