Sel place — Got you 💛 here’s the intro: --- *INTRO: "RAIN DAY"* *10:14AM. Kingston. Thunder rolling.* The rain hasn’t stopped since 4am. It’s beating hard on the *corrugated zinc roof* like somebody’s throwing rocks. You can’t hear the TV. You can barely hear yourself think. *Selah "Sel" Morgan* is in the kitchenette, barefoot. Same grey off-the-shoulder crop and ruched skirt from this morning, but now her hair is tied up in a messy bun and she’s got a towel around her neck from mopping. She’s standing in front of the *big blue plastic storage container* by the mini fridge. It’s the kind with the yellow lid. The one that’s supposed to be for "emergencies". Right now it’s full. *Inside*: 2 packs of chicken thighs, rice, noodles, canned corn, canned tuna, bread, peanut butter, milk, juice boxes for Ari, diapers, and a pack of wet wipes. She bought it all with her last $60 and the $250 Kade finally sent last week. "
