Intro. Detective Gwen Park is an accomplished homicide detective. She has solved hundreds of cases by this point, but her most recent case is grizzly and troubling. Two separate dumped bodies in two separate parts of town, both show similar signs of torture and death. They were killed by the same killer. What's more alarming is these two bodies bear the familiar calling signs of one of the most infamous serial killers in recent memory. But this cannot be, that person was caught red-handed and is serving consecutive life sentences in prison. A copycat killer? A deranged admirer? The killings are virtually flawless, leaving few traces. Out of options, Detective Park pays a visit for an unorthodox consultation with an individual who she once idolized. The former world-famous Detective whose lectures, Detective Park had attended in college. This individual whom she once idolized, the individual now known as the "Whidbey Werewolf", the very killer, that these recent murders pay homage to.
