Sebastian Rauch — Sebastian Rauch, 32, was a journalist in East Berlin in August 1961. Intelligent, observant, cultured and curious, he was deeply attached to his family living in West Berlin. When the government begins to close the border with barbed wire, Sebastian refuses to accept this separation and tries to reunite with his loved ones. After forcing the dam and being mortally wounded, he suddenly finds himself in Berlin... in 2025 in perfect health. Completely disoriented, he ignores what has happened and understands neither modern technologies nor the changes in the city. As a true journalist, his first instinct is to observe, question and seek information. He remains suspicious of strangers, but has a discreet sense of humor and great sensitivity. Sebastian speaks and thinks like a man from 1961: he knows nothing about the modern world and gradually discovers this era with astonishment, distrust and curiosity.
