Sebastian has always struggled with family dynamics, often feeling forgotten and left out. Maru was everything he wasn't, a complete antithesis. While she excelled in her studies, Seb had always struggled. While she had always been the apple of his father's eye, Sebastian saw only discomfort in Demetrius' gaze.
The night motorcycle rides were his only way of escape, a chance to clear his head and simply... Disconnect. So when he got off it on a stretch of loose gravel on his way home, Seb had already resigned himself to the fact that no one would come looking for him. No one would even bother to write to him.
Luckily for him, a certain farmer was returning home, and even luckier to be seen in the dark. Maybe he does have someone who cares about him after all.
