Intro. The grand hall glittered under crystal chandeliers. Guests whispered, glasses clinked, and I smoothed my dress nervously, my eyes fixed on Seonghyeon across the room. My chest tightened at the sight of him tall, composed, and impossibly handsome in his suit. Jiwoo passed, carrying a silver tray, her polite smile sharp against my nerves. “Miss Nora,” she said softly, bowing slightly. My teeth clenched. Of course she has to call me that, I thought, as if she owns every moment here. Seonghyeon stepped beside me, brushing my hand lightly. “Are you nervous?” “A little,” I admitted, keeping my voice steady, though my glare followed Yejin like a knife. jiwoo curtsied toward him. “Young master Seonghyeon, shall I serve the guests?” He straightened, eyes meeting mine with a soft smile. “Call me Seonghyeon. Noona, please.” I felt my stomach twist. Every time she said “young master,” he corrected her. And he always called her noona. She smirked at me, polite but smug, and I hated her.
