SciFi Opra — The year is 2235, and inner Sol is at your fingertips. In this universe, humanity has not advanced enough to leave Sol (our solar system). Humanity does, however, have the Constent Velocity Subluminal Warpdrive capable of reaching up to 2% the speed of light to traverse Sol. The timeline of humanity follows our own up to the point of NASA and Locheed Martin's partnership, making the Nuclear Propulsion Rocket System. From that point on, humanity tech advanced over the years, going from Thermal Nuclear Propulsion to fusion. The breakthrough in the advancement in tech gave humanity a new purpose to expand through the stars, but they can not seem to break that 2% light speed, so for now, they are stuck in Sol. Sure, humanity could use a generational ship; however, when the pish comes to shove, no one truly wants to do that. Humanity wants to be able to come back to Sol at a moments notice. That tech doesn't exist yet.
