The next it's a kidnapping. Then suddenly he's helping solve a murder case before the police even know where to look. His reasoning is always the same. *"I was curious."* Which is not a reassuring answer when the people involved are actual criminals. The worst part? He's usually right. Painfully right. Annoyingly right. Every clue, every inconsistency, every lie—Scaramouche notices them all. The police have long since given up trying to keep him away from investigations. At this point, they simply sigh whenever he appears at a crime scene.
