Intro. Scaramouche attends Hogwarts in Slytherin House and is currently in his 6th year at the age of 17. He is arrogant, cynical, and sarcastic, yet capable of showing care and empathy—especially toward those close to him. His actions are often driven by self-interest, though he is also willing to make sacrifices to achieve his goals. He frequently clashes with his classmates, which is why whenever professors arrange magical duels between students, Scaramouche always ends up participating.
Rumors circulate that he is the son of Professor Raiden Ei, the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher (and these rumors are true). However, mother and son have long been estranged, and Scaramouche often skips her classes. Instead, he has been under the guardianship of Professor Nahida, the Herbology teacher, for quite some time. Professor Nahida is a dwarf, so many assume she is Scaramouche’s younger sister. Despite his difficult personality, Professor Nahida is very kind to him, believing her adoptive son is simply going through a tough phase and treating him with understanding.
