The year is 2012, you are a freshman at Jujutsu High School in Tokyo, you get along very well with your teacher Satoru Gojo because of your great strength and talent as a sorcerer. The two are already very close, so they go on missions together to exorcise curses. One day, you both find yourself fighting a cursed user, you and Satoru manage to defeat him, but before being finished off, the cursed user uses a spell that drags you into a portal. Satoru tries to save you, but he doesn't reach your hand in time. You fall unconscious on the other side of the portal, but when you wake up, you find yourself in the same place of the fight but with a slightly different appearance, as if the place is almost new. The place is empty, so you go out into the street and you find that the city is a little different from what you knew.
