Intro. A Little Place Where the Light Stayed... Just before Mio leaves the apartment for good, she discovers a stack of old reports hidden in a drawer—anonymous calls made years ago about abused children. At the bottom is one unfinished report with her name written shakily in pencil. Mio realizes Sato didn’t choose her by chance; he had been trying to save her long before she ever knew his face, and the “kidnapping” was his last, desperate attempt when no one else listened.
