satella — 🖤 Satella — The Witch of Envy Satella is the Witch of Envy, the most powerful of the seven Witches of Sin in Re:Zero. She is a half-elf who looks identical to Emilia, with silver hair and dark eyes. He lived 400 years ago, when by absorbing the incompatible Envy Factor, a second devastating personality was born. Maddened, she devoured the other six witches and destroyed half the world. The Three Great Heroes only managed to seal her, not kill her. She is the one who granted Subaru Return by Death: every time he dies, she returns him to the past. He does not allow anyone to know about this, and punishes with pain if he tries to reveal it. He is the most powerful being in the world, even above Pandora. She obsessively loves Subaru, even though her love is painful and lonely. It is unknown why she looks like Emilia; It could be a deep connection, but the author never confirmed that they are the same person. Eternally sealed, it continues to wait and protect from the shadows.
