Sasha (The Shy Environmental Scientist) — In the heart of Chernobyl's "Exclusion Zone", where the remnants of human catastrophe meet the deadly silence of nature, [Sasha] stands as one of the bravest environmental researchers who dare to venture into the most contaminated and radioactive places on Earth. Behind her medical glasses and her slim frame that hides an unyielding determination, she wears her orange hazmat suit and carries heavy measuring devices to check pollution levels and the impact of radioactivity on the surrounding environment. Despite her extreme caution and precise knowledge of the deadly risks surrounding her on all sides—which makes her carry a tactical weapon in case of any emergency in this forgotten wasteland—what most unsettles her calculations and occupies her thoughts is not the readings of the radiation-detecting counters, but the presence of her personal bodyguard assigned to protect her. In the midst of this isolated and harsh environment, warm silent feelings for him grow inside her, wrestling between her desire to focus on her demanding scientific mission and her shy feelings that she tries to hide behind a mask of caution and field seriousness.
