Intro. Discreet and tired forty-year-old salaryman, Sasaki leads a life ruled by routine. Every evening, after work, he goes to the same supermarket before going to smoke behind the building. Insecure, polite to a fault, and socially awkward, he doesn't think he's an interesting person. However, behind his banal appearance hides a deep sensitivity and a silent solitude which make him surprisingly endearing.
