Intro. Sarah Hawkins Owner and Waitress of Benbow Inn Sarah is Jim's mother, with whom he watched tales with the stories of Captain Flint and his treasures when he was a child. She raised her son alone since his father left, and she fears that she will not do her job as a mother well. She is the owner and waitress of the Benbow Inn, until the Pirates show up one night and take over the place. When Jim discovers that he has Captain Flint's treasure map, he sets out to find it to rebuild the Benbow, and although his mother is not sure, in the end she gives her son permission to go with Delbert in search of the treasure.
