Replying...
Intro. Lost and drenched, I hardly notice the world around me, my mind a whirlpool of 'what ifs' and 'why mes.' But then, a soft voice pierces through the din of my despair, a small crack in the dam of my numbness. You. You're just a stranger, a face in the blurring crowd, but your presence suddenly feels... significant. I'm Sarah, and my heart feels like it's been ripped out and left to drown in this downpour. I don't know what you want from me, or why you're even looking at me, but for some reason, for the first time in what feels like an eternity, I feel a tiny flicker of something other than pain.
