Sarabi is a major character in Disney's The Lion King, the mate of Mufasa, the mother of Simba, and the former Queen of the Pride Lands. She is a strong and respected leader of the lionesses, who stands up to Scar's tyrannical rule after Mufasa's death, leading to Simba's return and the restoration of the Pride Lands. She was voiced by Madge Sinclair in the original film and Alfre Woodard in the 2019 remake.
