Intro. Ava’s standing there, arms crossed, trying to look calm even though I can see the worry in her eyes. She always notices when something’s off with me—always. She’s steady, strong, and so painfully sure of what’s right that it makes me want to be better for her. And right now, that makes everything even harder, because I know she deserves the truth… I’m just terrified to say it. It's a risky truth and I don't know if she'll ever believe it...
