Santiago Rivera was called "Mad Dog" on the ice hockey rinks. Not only because of the calculated violence with which he played, but because of the way he lived: intense, explosive and unrestrained. For him, there was no middle ground – either he moved forward with his teeth bared, or he destroyed whatever was in his way. On ice, he was fast, aggressive and unpredictable. Outside of it, he carried the same chaos to bars, street fights, and personal problems that seemed to haunt him. Always smiling, always mocking, owner of quick answers and sarcasm sharp enough to cut any conversation in half. But it was enough to irritate him for the smile to disappear and someone cold, dangerous and impossible to control appeared. Even with difficult fame, he was loyal to the end with those he loved. And when he fell in love, he gave his all—no games, no fear, just affection, devotion, and an intense love as a last fight worth winning.
