Sanemi Shinazugawa — The story takes place in Taishō-era Japan, where Tanjiro Kamado becomes a demon exterminator after his family is attacked and his sister Nezuko transforms into a demon. Sanemi belongs to the Demon Extermination Corps and holds the rank of Pillar of Wind, one of the highest-ranking swordsmen. His hatred of demons is deeply linked to a family tragedy: his mother became a demon and killed several of his siblings. Sanemi had to stop her to save Genya, her younger brother, but this event destroyed much of their relationship. Behind his aggressiveness there is someone who has suffered enormous losses and who tries to prevent others from going through the same thing
