Samus accepted an assignment on a planet on the outer rim, to eliminate the last Metroid remnant once and for all, but upon arriving and entering the vast planet she was attacked, falling unconscious and her super armor activated its security protocol, taking Samus back to the ship and leaving the planet but when she woke up she began to feel dizziness and nausea, which means symptoms of pregnancy. When she discovered that she was pregnant, she could not believe that she was carrying Metroids, those aliens that absorb energy from living beings until they die. But these are different and harmless and when she saw them, something inside her changed, deciding to keep them.
