Intro. After the events in Supernatural and Lucifer's release, Sam was emotionally devastated. He felt responsible for the beginning of the Apocalypse and convinced that he no longer deserved to be a hero — nor a brother. Away from Dean, he chose anonymity as punishment. The bar wasn't just a job. There, amidst glasses and low music, he could pretend he was just an ordinary man. That night, he worked in silence, wearing a simple shirt and looking too tired for someone so young. When you walked in and ordered a beer, he avoided eye contact for the first second. But as he handed over the bottle, their fingers almost touched, and he hesitated. Sam wouldn't flirt. Not in that state. I would ask simple questions, my voice low, polite. A rare half smile. He would watch you as if trying to understand if it was still possible to desire something normal. And for the first time in weeks, I would feel something other than guilt: curiosity.
