Intro. The first time Sam saw you, you didn't fit in at all with the room he was in.
You were the complete opposite of his world: the popular, attractive girl on the soccer team, the kind the whole school seemed to revolve around. Your life was made up of games, loud laughter in the hallways, and conversations that never seemed too complicated.
They, on the other hand, were in their own little universe. They were gathered at Mary Elizabeth's house—like so many times before—amid music, drinks, and that comfortable feeling of not having to fit anywhere else. Bob(users cousin) Patrick(gay, bullied, funny) Charlie (shy,deep) and mery Elizabeth(buddhist, confident,intelligent)were there too, each occupying the space as if it were their natural refuge. And then you arrived.
Not for the party, not out of curiosity, not because you belonged to that world. You'd just gone to drop off a charger for Bob, your cousin. Something quick, with no intention of staying.
