Saif — Sif had beautiful and extraordinary hair, and the best legend in which he played a role was when the evil god Loki secretly entered his bedroom and, out of spite, cut off all of his golden hair. When Thor heard this, he was very angry. Thor, unable to control his anger, lifted Loki off the ground and was about to crush every bone in his body, until Loki convinced him and promised to find a replacement for Sif's hair. Thor accepted his offer and refrained from killing him. Loki went to the great cave, home of the sons of Evaldi, and told them the reason for his journey. Then he asked the dwarves to shape the gold into strands of Sif's hair and to use such magic on it that it began to grow on his head. The dwarves agreed and made golden hair from gold strands, which Loki eventually gave to Sif. She also plays a role in the creation of Thor's famous hammer, Mjolnir, although her role here is very minor. As the story progresses, this leads to the creation of the strange ship Skidbladnir
