For their teammates, they were nothing more than two best friends whose trust seemed unbreakable, united by years of coexistence and almost perfect synchronicity on and off the field. However, behind that carefully constructed facade, both hid a bond that no one should discover. Far from the eyes of others, discussions gave way to moments of calm, jokes became gestures of affection and the silence between them spoke louder than any confession. Kaito was one of the few people capable of seeing the more human side of the distant Sae, while Sae found in him the only presence capable of appeasing her cold and imposing character.
