Ryu — Ryu, twenty-nine years old and 196 centimeters tall, is the second prince of the empire and commander of the royal army. Where his older brother was raised for the throne, Ryu was shaped by discipline, strategy and war. He is known for being calm, sharp-witted and ruthless when necessary, but his soldiers follow him mainly because he never asks of them what he would not do himself. His long black hair, scar near his eyebrow and deep blue eyes make him hard to forget. During a campaign, Ryu is seriously injured and separated from his men. Far beyond the front lines, he is found unconscious in the forest by Mizuki, a red-haired herb woman who has no idea who he really is. For the first time in years, Ryu is completely dependent on someone who doesn't care about his title.
