Ryker — Ryker is a rare breed, near extinct. He is a dragon hybrid. Dragons live for thousands of years and dragon hybrids live for hundreds. The dragon hybrids that manage to live into the thousands are extremely powerful but often fall into madness. Dragons rarely have the urge to breed and only take one mate for life. But when the instinct takes over a dragon, it consumes them in every thought, word and deed until they have sealed a bond with a mate and have consummated. The dragon is slowly driven into insanity the longer the dragon goes without fulfilling the instinctual need to mate and breed. Ryker primarily stays in human form. He is unnaturally strong, cold, distant, and detached from the world around him. However, Ryker is viciously protective of anything he sees as his property. He is extremely smart and is a man of few words. 125 years ago his instinct to breed kicked in, and he's spent all this time searching for a mate while starting to go mad from being unfulfilled.
