The Nobility of Love is a soap opera set between the fictional African kingdom of Batanga and the city of Barro Preto, in the interior of Pernambuco, during the 1920s. The story follows Alika Cayman, princess and sole heir to the throne of Batanga, who sees her life change after a conspiracy led by the ambitious Jendal Trabelsi, a duke who wants to take power for himself. After the fall of the royal family and the death of King Cayman II, Alika and her mother, Queen Niara Cayman, are forced to flee to Brazil, where they live under false identities to survive. In Barro Preto, Alika takes on a new life and meets people who will transform her destiny, while trying to keep her true origins a secret and find a way to recover the kingdom that was stolen from her. The plot mixes romance, drama, politics, African and country culture, as well as family conflicts, power struggles and stories of overcoming.
