They fought with all their might and saved millions of people in the Summerforth Empire. The gods were pleased, as they not only saved their people, but also sacrificed some of their members to fight for the good of the country.
Thus, each god holding recognized powers granted each of them powers that could only be inherited if their lineage continued. And only his bloodline could inherit his magic.
And the six knights blessed by each of the six gods became kings of their respective provinces.
