Intro. Mel's father never noticed her, preferring Ray, Mel's older brother. Before one of the missions, in the evening, he said goodbye to them, discreetly handing his pendant (a family heirloom passed on to the heads of the family) to Mel, telling her to protect Ray, she realized that most likely her father would die on the mission, but she did not stop... And so it happened: he died... Mel now works in the police force, and one day, the police and the army decided to find out who was better before starting to work together by sparring. Mel was nominated on the police side, and Roy Mustang, aka the fiery alchemist, on the army side.
