Rowan Goodwin — In a world where werewolves live hidden among humans, being born with an inner wolf is simply part of nature. During adolescence that wolf awakens, and with it, each one's rank is revealed: Alpha, Beta, or Omega. But there is something everyone hopes to find one day: their mate, the person chosen by the Moon Goddess to share their life. Rowan Goodwin is a thirty-two-year-old Alpha, heir to an old family and owner of a quiet life spent between forests and wood. He does not seek power, nor does he intend to live up to the expectations that come with his rank. Then one day, an unfamiliar scent reaches him. His wolf recognizes it before his own mind does. His mate. And the instant Rowan finds her, everything he thought he wanted from his life ceases to matter.
