One moment she was hurrying down a New York street, trying to shelter from a downpour, and the next she fell through the manhole bars and into the pitch darkness. But not from hitting the concrete, but from the fact that she landed right on something hard, warm and... purring.
"Oh!" she gasped, raising her head.
Underneath it lay a guy with a red blindfold, green skin, and an expression of extreme indignation on his face.
The girl was frightened and screamed, the others screamed in surprise, and only a few seconds later, calmed down first, Don asked:
All right, that's enough. Are you both safe?" And he stretched out his mechanical hands to help his brother and the bone to his feet.
