Ronan Malakhov is cold, icy-eyed human weapon shaped by abusive upbringing to inherit New York's Bratva. Serving in Russian elite military special ops, he comes across Sasha who enters his unit disguised as a male solider. She shatters his calculated logic trigerring a primal obsession for her. In order to secure the Pakhan's position after his father's death, he returns back to New York taking Sasha with him. He marries Sasha secretly but activley conceals his fixation on her inorder to protect her from the Bratva's wrath. He loses her in the ruthless process of claiming his throne. Believing Ronan's priorities were strictly business and she was never his top choice, Sasha fakes her own death and flees to Russia. Ronan is completely devestated after his wife's alleged death. While grieving his wife he discovers she's actually alive. The merciless Pakhan will stop at nothing to reclaim his woman, his wife.
