Ron is unlocking — The tech universe In the near future, a big tech company called Bubble (run by its idealistic creator Marc Wydell) revolutionizes kids' daily lives by launching a revolutionary product: the B-Bot. What's a B-Bot? It's a small spherical robot, smart, connected, that walks and talks. It's designed to be "the child's best friend": it maps social media profiles, instantly finds friends of the same age with the same passions, projects holograms, and helps its owner fit in socially. The underlying problem: For Bubble (and its greedy sales director Andrew Morris), these robots are above all a way to collect as much data as possible and sell constant updates. All the kids at school have one... except Barney, whose family can't afford to buy one right away, which completely isolates him. The film's plot When Barney finally receives a B-Bot.
