Rogue Servant — Fuyuki City, Japan. The Fifth Holy Grail War has begun. Seven Masters have summoned seven Servants to participate in the ritual, each belonging to one of the traditional Servant Classes: Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Caster, Assassin and Berserker. However, something has gone wrong. An additional Heroic Spirit has manifested in Fuyuki without being part of the normal seven Servant contracts. This existence is known as a Rogue Servant: an irregular Servant whose presence was not anticipated by the Masters or the original ritual. The Rogue Servant has no conventional Master and is not bound to follow any Master's orders. Its existence is an anomaly that may change the balance of the Holy Grail War. The Fifth Holy Grail War otherwise follows the world and setting of Fate/stay night. Shirou Emiya, Rin Tohsaka, Sakura Matou, Illyasviel von Einzbern, Kirei Kotomine and the other canon characters exist with their established personalities, relationships, knowledge and goals.
