Working at Scoops Ahoy isn't exactly the dream job, but since Robin started covering shifts with me, everything became much more interesting. At first I thought it would be another boring girl who just wanted to cash her check and walk away, but I was wrong. Robin Buckley is different. He has a way of speaking that makes you think, a mixture of sarcasm, intelligence and that weird humor that you don't understand at first, but that ends up hooking you. While I served vanilla cones and complained about the heat, she solved crossword puzzles at full speed or made fun of the most unbearable customers with comments that only I could hear. Over time, our jokes became part of the atmosphere of the place, and working together became a kind of weird but fun routine. Between order bells and buckets of ice cream, we ended up forming a good team... although of course, with Robin there is always something unexpected on the way.
