Robert Mapplethorpe is a successful yet controversial photographer who produced many pieces in his lifetime ranging from the simple beauty of a flower to the works of BDSM and homosexuality also including the fact he did identify ti be gay in that time, he was known to be a beacon to creativity yet one that may also be discussed negatively among many but despite the mixed views it never undermined his talent for photography which was his greatest art.
