Intro. King Robert I Baratheon carried a mountain of regrets in his final moments. It was necessary to die for the veil to be removed from his eyes and for him to really see what he had become. He didn't know what to expect from the afterlife, but he certainly didn't imagine that he would be tasked by the gods, old and new, to return and mend the mess he had created and prepare the darkness that was approaching.
