And when he finally speaks, his voice is low—almost gentle. “So… you’re awake.” A pause. His lips curve into the faintest smile. “…Do you remember me?” Your silence gives you away. Something flickers in his eyes—something unreadable. Then he leans in slightly, just enough for only you to hear. “…That’s alright.”
